Not accepted at BCSWMD facilities for recycling. Dispose of cassette tapes and boxes in the garbage.

CCA-TREATED WOOD (pressure-treated)
CCA-treated wood should only be disposed of at the Bartholomew County Landfill. Do not dispose of CCA-treated wood in a backyard compost pile, brush pile, chipping pile, or burn pile.

Building materials in good, reusable condition may be donated to Habitat for Humanity Restore.

CONSTRUCTION PAPER
Construction paper is not recyclable because the fibers are too short. Used, damaged, or unclean construction paper must be disposed of in the garbage. Unused, clean construction paper can be donated to the Little Red School House for reuse by Bartholomew County educators.
COOKING OIL
Accepted via the Tox-Away Program at the Columbus/Bartholomew Recycling Center Monday - Friday 7:30-4:30. Limit 5 gallons per visit.
COOKWARE
Cookware in good condtion may be donated to local charities or the Bartholomew County Landfill Reuse Center during regular hours. Cookware in any condition is not recyclable. Dispose of in garbage if damaged.
COPY PAPER/OFFICE PAPER
Accepted at all BCSWMD facilities. Sort from other paper types when using the Columbus/Bartholomew Recycling Center. Most wrappers for copy paper are not accepted for paper recycling due to the plastic moisture barrier that coats the wrapper. Plastic wrappers for copy paper are not accepted in BCSWMD plastics recycling.
CREOSOTE (from wood stoves/fireplaces)
Dispose of in the garbage.
CREOSOTE SEALER
Dry up and then dispose of in the garbage.
