Shredded paper is accepted at the Columbus/Bartholomew Recycling Center during regular hours. It must be separated from other paper types in a clear, plastic bag.

STEEL CANS
Empty, clean, dry, and loose cans are accepted for recycling at all BCSWMD facilities. Separate from aluminum cans when using the Columbus/Bartholomew Recycling Center. Do not put plastic bags in the recycling bins at BCSWMD facilities.
STYROFOAM
Not recyclable. Dispose of with your normal trash.

Hypodermic needles should not be placed in the trash or recycling! Syringes and needles are accepted for safe disposal at the Bartholomew County Health Department Public Nursing Division, 2675 Foxpointe Drive, Suite B. Call 812-379-1555 for more information.
